Job summary

Santa Clarita Post-Acute, a 99-bed facility in Newhall, is seeking a payroll and accounts payable professional to join our compassionate team. Responsibilities include compiling hours, entering data into payroll systems, and ensuring accurate wage processing for timely payroll distribution.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and knowledge of payroll practices within a healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Effective communication to staff, physicians, and consultants.
• Strong organization and time management with attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and payroll application systems.
• Strong understanding of payroll accounting and payroll best practices.
• Strong work ethic and team player with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to deal with confidential material.
• Knowledge of local, state and federal guidelines (plus).
• Ability to understand and follow applicable regulations.

Responsibilities

• Compiles hours worked from time sheets and other records.
• Enters data into payroll system and submits to payroll vendor.
• Reviews wages and corrects errors for payroll accuracy.
• Monitors missed punches, meal breaks, and interrupted meal periods; reports to Administrator/Managers.
• Prepare payroll checks to ensure timely delivery.
• Close daily, weekly, and pay period processes for payroll.
• Manage payroll variables such as shift differentials and overtime.
