Job summary

PACS Group in Arvin, CA is seeking a Human Resources/Payroll Coordinator to join our administrative leadership team. This full-time role supports HR and payroll functions, with a pay range of $21.00–$23.00 per hour.

You will assist with recruiting, onboarding, benefits, timekeeping, and payroll processing, while maintaining strict confidentiality. Strong organizational skills and experience in healthcare or long-term care are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; two years of college preferred.
• Two years of administrative experience preferred.
• Previous HR and payroll experience preferred.
• Healthcare, skilled nursing, or long-term care experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of onboarding, personnel records, benefits, payroll, and confidentiality requirements.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Support HR goals, policies, and procedures.
• Assist with recruiting, screening, interviewing, scheduling, and onboarding new employees.
• Coordinate new-employee orientation.
• Assist with safety programs and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare and update employee records and maintain data in systems.
• Manage payroll workflow and review/enter pay changes.
• Reconcile payroll information and process payments on time.
• Protect payroll confidentiality and respond to payroll inquiries.
