Job summary

Bozeman Health is seeking a Payment Posting Analyst to ensure accurate posting of payments and maintain revenue integrity. You will reconcile payments, apply adjustments, and verify ledger accuracy while coordinating with billing, collections, and finance teams.

The role requires a high school diploma; an associate’s degree and 1 year of healthcare billing experience are preferred. Flexibility with scheduling may be required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Post payments from insurance companies, patients, and third-party payers to patient accounts, ensuring accuracy in both the system and ledger balances.
• Apply contractual adjustments, write-offs, and denials per payer contracts and Bozeman Health policies.
• Reconcile NSF checks and lost payments.
• Reconcile posted payments with bank records and deposits.
• Review daily posting reports to identify discrepancies or errors and correct them when possible.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with billing and collections teams to resolve payment-related issues and ensure proper allocation of payments.
