Berkshire Health Systems is seeking a Billing Supervisor to manage all aspects of hospital and physician patient accounts, oversee daily processes, and ensure compliance with changing regulations. You will lead staff, coordinate with department leadership, and drive improvements in reimbursement and billing cycles.

The role requires strong analytical ability, excellent communication, and experience with major healthcare billing systems. Autonomy in a busy, high-pressure environment is essential.

Qualificações

• Four years of experience in a healthcare office environment or demonstrated experience as a Training Coordinator or Supervisor in a business office setting.
• Extensive experience with Meditech, Allscripts, PayerPath, SSI, Rycan, FISS, Microsoft Excel (use of spreadsheets) and Microsoft Word.
• Associate’s Degree in a Business discipline preferred

Responsabilidades

• Manage all aspects of hospital/physician patient accounts for Berkshire Health Systems, including daily workflows, regulatory changes, reimbursement and billing, and staff HR duties.
• Collaborate with staff to address and direct staff issues; seek input from department Director when necessary.
• Analyze accounts receivable regularly to maintain controlled outstanding days; make recommendations for improvement and ensure timely billing and follow-up.
• Maintain written and verbal communications with hospital billing staff and management and other Berkshire Health Systems departments; update policies and procedures affecting the billing cycle.
• Hire and orient new staff in the hospital billing area and provide ongoing education for existing staff.
