Qualifications

• Familiar with FDCPA requirements and consumer financial interaction.
• Experience with billing systems and basic accounting processes.
• Healthcare collections experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review patient accounts using Aged Trial Balance to identify prior actions.
• Refer stubborn accounts to collection agencies after efforts fail.
• Interact with precollect and collection agencies as needed.
• Document collection actions with dates, calls, and arrangements.
• Research billing questions and provide itemized bills on request.
• File liens and assist attorneys for legal actions when required.
• Appear in court to support liability and small claims cases if needed.
• Follow up on liability cases to ensure reimbursement.
• Escalate problem compromises to supervisor for approval.
