R1 RCM Inc. is seeking a Part-time PRN Customer Service Representative for Patient Registration at Intermountain St. George Regional Hospital.

You will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring fast, compassionate, and accurate access to care, while supporting multiple computer systems during the check-in process. Responsibilities include handling phones, gathering accurate information, and minimizing registration delays.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer service experience and interpersonal skills.
• Strong composure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize quickly with high attention to detail.
• Comfortable shifting priorities based on patient needs.
• Experience with patient access, medical registration, insurance verification, or front desk is a plus (but not required).

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and assist patients and families with check-in using multiple computer systems.
• Answer phones and gather accurate patient information quickly.
• Support timely access to care by minimizing delays in registration and answering questions with confidence and compassion.
• Build trust with patients during moments of illness, anxiety, or confusion.
• Navigate diverse insurance plans, enter demographics and medical data, collect co-pays and provide cost estimates when applicable.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and care teams to ensure smooth patient flow.
