Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Product Development Engineer to join the Healthcare Packaging team. You will execute plant trials, provide process development, and translate project requirements into manufacturable products. Collaborate with Operations, Quality, and suppliers to meet specifications, schedule, and cost targets.

This role emphasizes hands-on execution, DFMEA/PFMEA participation, and design verification within the Stage‑Gate process, with travel to customer sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Hands-on, technically skilled with manufacturing processes.
• Experience running DOE and process validation studies.
• Ability to analyze data to optimize parameters and improve yields.
• Experience setting up and operating production equipment for development trials.
• Willingness to travel 20–40% for customer visits and on-site trials.

Responsibilities

• Execute plant trials, line qualifications, and process validations on the production floor.
• Run DOE and process capability studies to optimize parameters in real time.
• Set up and operate injection molding, blow molding equipment during development trials.
• Build and verify first‑article samples and document results to specification.
• Support customer line trials on-site and contribute to risk assessments under guidance.
