Job summary

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is offering a 4-month fixed-term, 1 WTE Band 6 Operational Support Manager role within the Department of Medicine for Older People, Therapies, Psychology and ToCH Care Group. Reporting to the General Service Manager, you will help deliver operational services across the speciality/specialities.

You will monitor national and local KPIs, drive service improvement, handle day-to-day operational issues, arrange regular team meetings, and support

Qualifications

• Degree level or equivalent experience.
• Line management/ business qualification or equivalent.
• Recent demonstrable experience of operational management with responsibility for supporting operational delivery including clinical quality, people management, budget understanding and delivery of targets.
• Experience of staff management including recruitment, sickness management and delivering staff appraisals; understanding and appreciation of diversity.
• Knowledge of NHS access targets and governance.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Service Manager with delivering speciality/specialities operational services.
• Monitor national and local KPIs and escalate risks where needed.
• Oversee service improvement and ensure operational processes and plans are followed.
• Instigate programmes of work and changes within delegated specialities.
• Chair regular team meetings and ensure actions are completed.
