Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Managing Consultant for its Commercial Healthcare Payer/Provider Advisory practice in Chicago. You will drive operational improvements for hospitals, health plans, and physician groups using data-driven workflow redesign and best-practice methods.

Responsibilities include delivering Statements of Work, managing client relationships, and expanding consulting capabilities. Up to 75% travel is anticipated; a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years’ experience are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor’s degree; graduate degree preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years’ relevant work experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Previous consulting or health system leadership experience.
• Understanding of technology, tools and use of AI in client environments.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to measurably improve operational outcomes through workflow redesign and resource utilization.
• Reduce variation in care by applying health system best practices supported by data.
• Lead data-driven analyses, project management, and deliverable creation for advisory engagements.
