Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm one hour lunch
Pay Rate: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour

Position Summary Bishop&Company is seeking a customer-focused and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to support members and providers through phone, email, text, chat, and occasional face-to-face interactions, for a local, non-profit company. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional service, resolving inquiries, providing program information, and ensuring a positive customer experience while maintaining accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Respond to inbound and outbound customer inquiries via phone, email, chat, text, and in-person interactions.
- Assist members with questions related to benefits, claims, services, eligibility, and enrollment processes.
- Address customer concerns, complaints, and discrepancies professionally and efficiently.
- Navigate multiple service queues and communication channels while meeting quality and productivity standards.
- Maintain accurate records by updating member and provider information in company databases.
- Process routine administrative tasks, including correspondence, mailings, copying, and faxing.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, confidentiality requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
- Support additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum one (1) year of customer service, sales, call center, or customer-facing experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with professional phone etiquette.
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and general office equipment.
- Comfortable navigating multiple computer systems and applications simultaneously.
- Reliable attendance and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree or post-secondary education in healthcare, insurance, customer service, or a related field.
- Previous call center and/or healthcare administration experience.
- Bilingual or multilingual skills, especially Chuukese, Marshallese, Korean, Ilocano, or Tagalog.
- Demonstrated success in meeting performance, productivity, and quality standards.
