Job summary

Apogee Consulting Group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to design and coordinate building mechanical systems for healthcare projects. The role involves preparing construction documents and serving as Engineer of Record for assigned projects, with collaboration across disciplines to ensure constructible, code-compliant solutions.

A PE license and healthcare experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum four years of related experience as a licensed professional.
• Current PE License required.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical building systems, including HVAC equipment, ductwork, hydronic piping, controls, and associated systems.
• Serve as Engineer of Record for assigned projects.
• Direct and mentor designers in the development of mechanical system designs and construction documents.
• Perform engineering calculations and evaluations for system and equipment design.
• Perform heating and cooling load calculations and select mechanical equipment.
• Develop construction drawings, details, specifications, and other project deliverables.
• Coordinate mechanical systems with architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection disciplines.
• Apply applicable mechanical codes and standards, including ASHRAE 90.1, ASHRAE 170, ASHRAE 62.1, NFPA 90A, and applicable building and mechanical codes.
