Job summary

Apogee Consulting Group in Charlotte, NC seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design and coordinate building mechanical systems, prepare construction documents, and serve as engineer of record.

You will apply ASHRAE and NFPA codes, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with architects and engineers to deliver code-compliant, constructible solutions.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in engineering, 4+ years of licensed experience, a current PE, and proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD MEP, TRACE, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum four years of related experience as a licensed professional.
• Current PE license is required; NCEES record preferred; other certifications may be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical building systems, including HVAC equipment, ductwork, piping and controls.
• Serve as Engineer of Record for assigned projects.
• Direct and mentor designers in developing mechanical designs and construction documents.
• Perform engineering calculations and load analyses for system design.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing and fire protection disciplines.
