Job summary

University of Mississippi Medical Center seeks a Supervisor-Supply Chain to lead Materials Management & Shipping/Receiving Operations. You will supervise staff, oversee receipt verification, storage, and control of medical supplies and equipment used in patient care and hospital operations.

Requirements include a high school diploma/GED and 3 years in shipping/receiving, stocking, loading, and logistics. Evening shift; hourly pay.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED and three years of shipping/receiving, stocking, loading and logistics experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the work activities of subordinate staff.
• Receives, verifies receipt, stores, and distributes equipment and supplies.
• Assists in providing training and coaching of subordinate staff.
• Monitors and audits inventory, assists in determining stock requirements, prepares and/or supervises supply orders.
• Interfaces with accounting staff to resolve invoice issues.
• Maintains files, records, and databases.
• Ensures compliance with Joint Commission and other regulatory requirements.
• Promotes safety and environmental practices in the workplace.
