Job summary

MedStar Health’s Washington Hospital Center is seeking an Inventory Clerk to support materials management in a fast-paced healthcare setting. You will assist in receiving, stocking, labeling, and distributing supplies, and ensure accurate records in MMIS/Par Excel to prevent stockouts.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, less than 1 year of related experience, and basic math and computer skills. Strong English reading/writing and reliability are essential for success.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assists in care and maintenance of departmental equipment and supplies.
• Maintains inventory accuracy using MMIS/Par Excel to prevent stock-outs.
• Contributes to department goals while following policies, procedures, quality and safety standards.
• Identifies and tracks problems and flows in inventory systems.
• Maintains relationships with other departments and participates in improvement teams.
• Prepares/checks reports and records as required.
• Receives, verifies, and distributes supplies; creates shipping records as needed.
