Job summary

Lillibridge Healthcare Services, a Ventas subsidiary, seeks a Maintenance Technician in Barrington, IL to manage HVAC, plumbing, electrical work and general property upkeep in healthcare settings. The role emphasizes reliable operations and tenant satisfaction across multiple sites.

You will handle work orders, perform preventative maintenance, and assist with safety compliance, inventory, and cost control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in maintenance preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Minimum 2 years of related maintenance experience in healthcare, commercial real estate, or hospital environments.
• Certifications in HVAC, CFC handling, electrical or plumbing preferred.
• Must be located in Barrington, IL area with after-hours emergency availability and on-site 5 days a week.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds, climb ladders/stairs, and perform extensive walking.
• Basic computer skills and experience with maintenance/work order software.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders for maintenance tasks across buildings using work order software.
• Implement routine physical improvements and preventative maintenance plan.
• Respond to emergencies per departmental protocol.
• Assist with stocking and inventory control of equipment, tools, and supplies.
• Coordinate with Supervisor on equipment, logs, and expense control.
• Communicate building status and changes to relevant personnel.
• Adhere to safety standards and professional conduct at all times.
• Utilize tools and materials safely; perform other duties as assigned.
