Job summary

Lillibridge Healthcare Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician to handle HVAC, plumbing, electrical work and general property maintenance across its outpatient medical space portfolio in Barrington, IL. The role requires on-site presence five days a week with after-hours emergency availability and participation in an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities include completing work orders, implementing preventative maintenance plans, managing inventory, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of related maintenance experience; healthcare, commercial RE, or hospital environments preferred.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and perform extensive walking.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with maintenance/work order software.

  • Complete work orders for maintenance and repairs.
  • Implement routine physical improvements and preventative maintenance plans.
  • Respond to emergencies and communicate building status to supervisors.

Lillibridge manages more than 22 million square feet of outpatient medical space across 36 states, providing prime medical office spaces to health systems and physicians seeking to expand their reach and deliver value to their communities.About the RoleThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, and general property maintenance and upkeep. Additionally, the Maintenance Technician will manage maintenance systems to ensure optimal operations and client/tenant satisfaction, in accordance with department protocols.This role plays a key part in maintaining the reliability and performance of our buildings, creating safe, functional environments for tenants, clients, and patients. Key responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:Responsible for the completion of work orders for tasks related to the physical maintenance and repairs of the assigned buildings utilizing work order-related software programsResponsible for implementing routine physical improvementsResponding to emergencies in accordance with departmental protocolAssist Supervisor in establishing and maintaining all equipment, tools, supplies in stock, inventories and logsImplement, with the Supervisor, a comprehensive preventative maintenance plan and maintain all related records and logsAssist with controlling expenses associated with the operation of the buildingsCommunicate effectively to appropriate individual building status and changesAdherent to all safety standards, policies & procedures, codes of conduct and best practicesAlways act professionally and courteously with tenants, hospital clients, co-workers, vendors, patients, etc.Utilize materials, supplies, tools, and other building property in a safe, productive mannerPerform other duties and special projects as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in maintenance-related fields preferredValid driver’s license and reliable transportationMinimum of 2 years of related maintenance experience; preferably in healthcare, commercial real estate, or hospital environmentsCertifications (e.g., HVAC, CFC Handling, Electrical, Plumbing) preferredMust be located in Barrington, IL area with availability for after-hours emergencies and participation in on-call rotationMust be in office, on-site, 5 days a week and drive to the various properties with employee owned vehicle, as neededAbility to lift at least 50 pounds, climb ladders/stairs, and perform extensive walkingBasic computer skills and comfort using maintenance or work order softwareMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without need for employer sponsorship now or in the futureWhy Choose LillibridgeCompetitive pay and performance-based incentives90% employer-covered health insurance401(k) with company match20 days of PTO to start + 11 paid holidaysStable, long-term career growth with a trusted national leaderThe estimated base salary range for this position is $28-32 per hour.
