Job summary

Medical Suites at Oak Creek is seeking a reliable Maintenance Assistant to keep our healthcare facility safe, comfortable, and well functioning for residents and staff in Oak Creek, Wisconsin. The role focuses on repairs, preventative maintenance, and facility projects to support a high standard of care.

You will work with the Maintenance Director to perform routine tasks, respond to requests, inspect systems, help with building upkeep, and help prepare rooms for admissions while ensuring OSHA

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare maintenance preferred.
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and other maintenance equipment.
• Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and a professional, courteous approach.
• Knowledge of various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on facility equipment and systems.
• Respond to maintenance requests.
• Perform inspections of facility systems and report any issues.
• Help maintain facility grounds and upkeep outdoor areas.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work.
• Assist in emergency situations such as power outages or plumbing issues.
• Ensure resident rooms, common areas, and staff areas are safe, functional and well maintained.
• Assist with repairs and general building upkeep.
• Work with the Maintenance Director to prepare rooms for new admissions and discharges.
• Help ensure the facility complies with OSHA and other safety standards.
