Job summary

Monarch Healthcare Management is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support the Maintenance Director in keeping our Minnesota facilities operation-ready. You will perform routine repairs, manage supplies, and document maintenance activities to ensure reliable services for residents and staff.

In this role you’ll work closely with building teams to maintain safety systems, fire alarms, HVAC, and infrastructure while following health regulations.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of general maintenance (boilers, HVAC, refrigerators)
• Ability to lead and coordinate with staff and directors
• Two years of maintenance/power plant experience desirable
• Healthcare, skilled nursing, or assisted living experience

Responsibilities

• Support Maintenance Operations by planning, organizing, and performing routine maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance programs for the facility.
• Systems and Safety Compliance by maintaining fire alarms, emergency electrical systems, HVAC, water/sewage systems, and adhering to safety regulations.
• Equipment and Supply Management by ordering, receiving, storing, and documenting maintenance equipment and supplies; maintain inventory.
• Facility Cleanliness and Safety by keeping areas clean and safe, identifying hazards, and coordinating preventive maintenance visits.
• Professional Conduct and Communication by fostering positive relationships with residents, staff, families, and visitors, and upholding confidentiality.
