Job summary
Monarch Healthcare Management in Minnesota is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to uphold the facility’s operations. You will assist the Maintenance Director in routine maintenance, repairs, and preventive programs to ensure safe, reliable services for residents and staff.
The role covers safety compliance, equipment and supply management, cleanliness, and professional communication. Candidates should have maintenance knowledge, leadership ability, and healthcare maintenance experience; boiler
Qualifications
- General maintenance knowledge: boilers, heating/AC, refrigerators/freezers, electrical wiring.
- Boiler license strongly recommended.
- Leadership ability and the ability and willingness to cooperate and communicate with all staff and Department Directors.
- Two years of experience in maintenance and power plant work is desirable.
- Experience in healthcare, skilled nursing facility or assisted living community.
Responsibilities
- Support maintenance operations: assist planning, organizing, and performing routine maintenance and repairs.
- Systems and safety compliance: maintain fire alarms, emergency electrical systems, HVAC, water/sewage systems and ensure safety regulations.
- Equipment and supply management: help with ordering, receiving, storing, and documenting maintenance equipment.
- Facility cleanliness and safety: keep areas clean, identify hazards, coordinate preventive maintenance visits.
- Professional conduct and communication: maintain confidentiality and good relations with residents, staff, families, and visitors.
- Training and compliance: participate in inspections, audits, and staying updated on policies and regulations.
