Qualifications

• 2+ years of litigation experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle complex healthcare and commercial litigation.
• Work on managed care and payor-provider disputes.
• Handle reimbursement litigation and arbitration.
• Work on ERISA litigation and regulatory enforcement matters.
• Assist with healthcare audits, recoupment disputes and administrative proceedings.
• Conduct substantive legal research and drafting.
• Manage discovery and motion practice.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Assist with hearings, arbitrations, trials and appeals.
• Contribute to case strategy on high-exposure and precedent-setting matters.

Healthcare Litigation Associate

Location: New York, NY

A leading international law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate with 2+ years of experience to join its nationally recognized Healthcare Litigation practice in New York.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercial litigator interested in developing a sophisticated healthcare-focused practice. The team represents healthcare providers, behavioral health organizations, life sciences companies and other industry clients in high-stakes litigation, arbitration, regulatory proceedings and complex payor disputes.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle complex healthcare and commercial litigation
• Work on managed care and payor-provider disputes
• Handle reimbursement litigation and arbitration
• Work on ERISA litigation and regulatory enforcement matters
• Assist with healthcare audits, recoupment disputes and administrative proceedings
• Conduct substantive legal research and drafting
• Manage discovery and motion practice
• Take and defend depositions

Who You Are

• 2+ years of litigation experience
• Healthcare experience is advantageous, but not required
• Interest in healthcare litigation, regulatory enforcement, reimbursement, ERISA or related disputes
• Strong commercial litigators interested in transitioning into healthcare are encouraged to apply
• Superior academic credentials
• Excellent writing, research and analytical skills
• Strong advocacy and communication skills
• Comfortable taking significant responsibility for complex matters
• Interested in developing expertise across litigation, regulation, reimbursement and healthcare policy
