Job summary

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is seeking a Laundry Worker to support a long-term care facility by maintaining cleanliness and availability of linens and garments for residents.

You will operate laundry equipment safely, follow infection control procedures, and interact positively with residents, staff, and guests while providing excellent service. A high school diploma is preferred; lifting up to 50 pounds and vaccination policies may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous laundry experience preferred but not required.
• Positive attitude and effective communication with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to work around cleaning products.
• Able to follow oral and written instructions, and perform routine, repetitive tasks daily.
• Residency within the service area required.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and personal clothing.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain records of laundry activities and report any maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor.
• Follow infection control and universal precautions policies to ensure a sanitary environment.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
