The role supports nutrition services under the Nutrition Services Director/Chef, adheres to state and federal guidelines, and may train staff. A current state Food Manager Certificate and strong English skills are required.

Qualifications

• Current state Food Manager Certificate.
• Experience in quality food preparation in healthcare settings preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation procedures, portion control, and safe food handling.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Prepares or directs preparation of food items according to menus.
• Ensures food preparation follows dietary and healthcare standards.
• Maintains sanitation of equipment, utensils, and work areas.
• Supports therapeutic diet compliance and meal accuracy.
• Trains or supervises staff when assigned as PIE (Partner in Excellence).
• Records temperatures of food and dispensing equipment.
