Job summary

Haywood Regional Medical Center in Clyde, NC is seeking a Systems Analyst to oversee the administration, maintenance and security of facility server infrastructure. The role covers Windows Server, Active Directory, storage, backup, and DR planning to support clinical and business operations.

The candidate will join a healthcare IT team focused on reliable, compliant operations, working with cross-functional enterprise teams and vendors to resolve incidents and improve infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in server administration or IT infrastructure.
• Proficiency with Windows Server administration and Active Directory.
• Experience with enterprise storage, backup platforms, or virtualization.
• Healthcare IT experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of Windows Server environments, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
• Familiarity with enterprise storage, backup software, and disaster recovery concepts.
• Understanding of server security principles including patch management and change management.
• Ability to monitor system health and respond to infrastructure incidents.
• Strong organizational skills and documentation discipline.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for cross-team coordination.

Responsibilities

• Server Administration: provision, configure, patch, and lifecycle manage Windows Server.
• Support virtualization platforms in coordination with enterprise teams.
• Manage rack-mounted hardware, firmware, and data center operations.
• Monitor server health, respond to alerts, escalate as needed.
• Storage & Backup: manage SAN/NAS storage and backup jobs.
• Disaster Recovery planning, replication monitoring, DR testing.
• Directory & Identity: administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP.
• Security & Compliance: patch management and policy alignment.
• Documentation: maintain runbooks and system configs.
• Collaborate with vendors and ITS teams on cross-functional work.
