Job summary

St. Charles Health System is hiring an IT Solution Architect to translate business and clinical requirements into scalable technology solutions.

The role collaborates with executives, vendors, and cross-functional teams to design integrated architectures supporting EHRs, devices, and infrastructure while ensuring HIPAA compliance and security. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in IT or related field, with at least two years in IT architecture within healthcare and TOGAF/COBIT

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Certification in architectural framework such as TOGAF or COBIT within 1 year of hire.
• Minimum of two years of IT architecture experience, with healthcare domain exposure.
• Experience gathering detailed business and clinical requirements from diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Gather business and clinical requirements from stakeholders to inform IT solutions.
• Design integrated technology solutions including applications, hardware, medical devices, and systems.
• Evaluate technologies and recommend best-fit solutions based on functionality, scalability and cost.
• Collaborate with executives, vendors, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with goals.
• Develop detailed architecture documentation, diagrams, specifications, and integration plans.
• Ensure seamless integration with EHR, medical devices, and existing infrastructure.
• Conduct risk assessments and mitigate risks to ensure system stability and compliance (HIPAA).
• Provide leadership during implementation with PMO and delivery teams.
• Optimize performance, scalability, and security for evolving healthcare needs.
• Maintain thorough documentation and regulatory compliance; apply best practices.
