Job summary

Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines, IA, seeks an on-site IT Project Manager to coordinate complex information systems projects through all life-cycle phases. You will partner with IT, business units, vendors, and clinicians to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and operational readiness.

Responsibilities include establishing scope, milestones, schedules, and governance, while communicating effectively with stakeholders and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, business, project management, or a related field required.
• Four or more years of IT, healthcare, or project management experience; at least two years in IT leadership.
• Experience translating technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of IT environments, budgeting, and vendor coordination.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Manages information technology projects through all phases of the project life cycle.
• Provides leadership and support to IT staff, project teams, and stakeholders.
• Leads training and change management for successful implementation.
• Develops project scope, objectives, work plans, milestones, schedules, and budgets.
• Monitors performance, manages risk, and communicates status to leadership.
• Gathers requirements, analyzes feasibility, and documents technical needs.
• Ensures governance, standards adherence, and escalation pathways.
• Delivers clear status reports and presentations to steering committees.
