Job summary

University of Florida is seeking an IT Generalist I for the Student Health Care Center to provide hands-on and remote support for clinical and administrative technology. You will handle endpoints, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365 services, collaborating with UFIT and external vendors to ensure secure, reliable operations.

The role emphasizes independent work, customer service, and applying technical expertise in a mission-driven environment on UF’s Gainesville campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to lift and move equipment up to 30 pounds.
• Requires walking, bending, and crouching to install devices.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite and remote support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, scanners, telephony, and related peripherals.
• Administer Active Directory, OUs, and security group changes; manage Group Policy and endpoint configuration.
• Support Microsoft 365 services and user access lifecycle; onboarding and separation tasks.
• Collaborate with SHCC leadership, SLTS, UFIT, UF Health IT, and vendors to protect information and minimize disruptions.
