OrthoAlaska, LLC seeks an Information Systems Director to lead day-to-day IT operations for a multispecialty practice in orthopedics, primary care, and rheumatology. You will manage the IT team, ensure secure and available clinical and business systems, and translate the COO's technology strategy into concrete projects.

The role is hands-on, including escalation handling, vendor management, and system changes, with responsibilities across security, infrastructure, and strategic initiatives.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, or a related field
• Master's degree preferred (MIS, MBA, or health informatics)
• 7+ years in IT, including 3+ years supervising IT staff
• Hands-on experience with enterprise networks, Microsoft 365, and Windows server environments
• Experience in a physician practice, ambulatory, or hospital setting is preferred
• Experience with NextGen, NovaRAD or PACS, and HL7 interface engines

Mansioni

• Lead IT team, manage help desk, and ensure SLAs across multiple sites
• Oversee availability, upgrades, and vendor support for EHR and practice management systems
• Coordinate HL7 interfaces with labs, imaging, and hospitals; troubleshoot interfaces
• Plan and deliver IT projects on schedule and within budget including new clinics
• Manage vendor contracts, licensing, and BAAs; prepare operating and capital budgets
• Report IT metrics and risks to COO and leadership
• Establish disaster recovery and business continuity plans; annual testing
• Provide security training, incident response, and HIPAA compliance support
