Job summary

Bergen New Bridge Medical Center in Paramus, NJ is looking for an Application Specialist to guide end-user meetings, define requirements, and document them through the system life cycle in a healthcare setting.

You will troubleshoot with users and developers, provide application support, and train staff on new features while coordinating with IS and hospital departments to ensure workflows comply with policy standards. This is a full-time IT role with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience maintaining applications.
• Familiarity with the healthcare industry and hospital workflows.
• Experience implementing and maintaining applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills and ability to work in IT office environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and attend end user meetings to determine application needs, requirements definition and documentation through the system life cycle.
• Confirm backend application settings, data management and associated process documentation are complete based on organizational needs.
• Research new versions of software, communicate new features to users; train users and document related process changes based on user feedback.
• Troubleshoot with end-users and developers.
• Provide application support.
• Work with other IS and hospital departments to design applications; understand workflows.
• Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
• Understands and adheres to the Medical Center’s Code of Conduct.
