Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare is seeking an Inventory Specialist to oversee stock levels for assigned departments, ensuring medical supplies, linens, and equipment are available for clinical use. You will manage day-to-day inventory, coordinate orders, and maintain par locations to support seamless patient care.

The role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and experience with healthcare supplies.

Qualifications

  • Six months of related Materials Management experience.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and understand customer communications.
  • Experience using basic word processing, spreadsheets, internet, e-mail, and scheduling applications.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and dependability.
  • Experience working with healthcare supplies.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee inventory control for assigned units, keeping supplies binned and organized.
  • Act as liaison between Supply Chain and the department/facility.
  • Order and deliver supplies using appropriate systems and suppliers.
  • Communicate about supply levels, new products, standardization, and implementation.
  • Monitor par levels, Kanban visuals, and location maintenance; resolve discrepancies.
