Job summary

Intermountain Health in Utah Valley Hospital (Provo) is seeking an Inventory Clerk to oversee daily materials management for a clinical program. The role entails ensuring medical supplies, linens, and equipment are stocked and ready for patient care, with 24 hours per week schedule (Saturday-Sunday, 6:00am–6:30pm).

The position requires six months of related experience, strong communication skills, and familiarity with healthcare supplies.

Qualifications

• Six months of related Materials Management experience.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to understand and speak English clearly, follow instructions, and understand customer communications.
• Experience using basic word processing, spreadsheets, internet, e-mail, and scheduling applications.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and dependability.
• Ability to visually inspect boxes, packing slips, reports, and similar items.
• Experience working with healthcare supplies.

Responsibilities

• Performs inventory control on stock and non-stock items, keeps supplies organized, and liaises between Supply Chain and the department/facility.
• Orders and delivers supplies for the department using appropriate technology, systems, and suppliers.
• Communicates about supply levels, new products, standardization, and implementation to department staff; troubleshoots issues.
• Manages Par Location, PIRS Replenishment, Location Maintenance, delivery, labeling, and Kanban visuals.
• Monitors on-hand quantities, reconciles discrepancies.
• Uses the SCIS system to manage distribution, inventory, receiving, and reporting in line with audits and regulations.
• Ensures compliance with policies and SOPs.
• Reviews daily, weekly, and monthly reports for assigned locations.
