Job summary

Intermountain Health Utah Valley Hospital is seeking a PRN Inventory Clerk to oversee department inventory, distribute supplies, and ensure readiness for clinical use. The role floats to multiple Utah facilities to support staffing needs.

Responsibilities include managing par levels, processing orders, communicating supply status, and maintaining equipment and Kanban visuals. Requires basic MS tools, attention to detail, and healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• Six months of related Materials Management experience.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and speak English clearly, follow verbal and written instructions, and understand customer communications.
• Experience using basic word processing, spreadsheets, internet, e-mail, and scheduling applications.
• Experience in a role requiring strong attention to detail, accuracy, and dependability.
• Demonstrated ability to visually inspect boxes, packing slips, computed reports, and like objects.
• Demonstrated ability to use a pallet jack and other materials handling equipment (e.g., hand truck, carts).
• Experience in a role working with healthcare supplies.

Responsibilities

• Performs inventory control on stock and non-stock items, keeps supplies binned and organized, and acts as liaison between Supply Chain and the department.
• Orders and delivers supplies for the department using appropriate systems and suppliers.
• Communicate information concerning supply levels, new products, standardization, and implementation to department staff; troubleshoots issues for resolution.
• Manage Par Location, PIRS Replenishment, Location Maintenance, Delivery, Label maintenance and Kanban visuals.
• Monitors quantity on hand issues, reconciling and solving discrepancies.
• Uses the SCIS system to manage distribution, inventory, receiving, and reports in line with auditing and regulatory requirements.
• Ensures compliance with policy and SOPs.
• Reviews daily, weekly and monthly reports for assigned locations.
