Job summary

The University of Miami Information Technology & Systems Department seeks a full-time Enterprise Integration Solutions Architect to lead enterprise integration strategy, governance, and implementation across applications, cloud platforms, APIs, and interoperability standards.

This senior role drives scalable, secure architectures and collaborates with Epic teams, vendors, and security to advance healthcare IT capabilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, or related field.
Master's degree preferred.
Minimum 8 years of healthcare IT, software engineering, or interoperability experience.
Epic certifications preferred (Epic Chronicles, Bridges, Interconnect, Clarity, Care Everywhere).
Experience with healthcare integration engines and standards (HL7, FHIR, DICOM).
Ability to design scalable enterprise integration architectures across platforms.

Responsibilities

Design and maintain enterprise integration architectures and patterns.
Lead cross-platform integration using APIs, cloud services, middleware, and data exchange technologies.
Establish governance, standards, and best practices for interoperability.
Evaluate emerging technologies and drive innovative integration solutions.
Mentor engineers and collaborate with Epic teams, security, and vendors.
Create prototypes, proofs of concept, and implementation designs.
