Job summary

BD seeks an Integration Engineer in San Diego to support customer interface design, training, and validation. You will partner with cross-functional teams to drive BD product integration within hospital systems and maintain critical documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent education and work experience.
• Knowledge of HIS integration systems, BD products and hospital workflow.
• Three or more years in healthcare environment with technical (systems) involvement and knowledge of HL7 and EDI standards.
• Experience with integrated delivery networks/multi-facility health systems.

Responsibilities

• Participate in meetings / conference calls with customers to facilitate interface design, training, and validation.
• Establish rapport with customers that is conducive to long-term business relationships.
• Provide team support and in-depth product information on BD products as assigned by manager.
• Interact with customer teams to gain consensus and deliver concise communication.
• Consult Senior/Principal Integration Engineers as appropriate.
• Demonstrate knowledge of BD products and how they integrate with customer systems.
• Interact with diverse cross-functional teams with a focus on medium to large health care organization.
• Participate in product/version upgrade integration validation.
• Maintain accurate account backups and documentation.
• Work independently and comply with BD policies.
