Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree in Healthcare Management or related field preferred.
• 2–3 years of healthcare insurance billing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance coverage for services to confirm plan coverage.
• Collect and update patient insurance information including policy numbers and dates.
• Obtain or clarify authorizations with insurance companies.
• Partner with billing and coding staff to support timely claim submissions.
• Coordinate prior authorizations for procedures, tests, surgeries, and services.
• Review denial notes and assist with appeals and resubmissions.
• Help patients understand their insurance coverage and benefits.
