Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent required; an Associate's Degree preferred.
Epic experience and insurance referral/authorization experience preferred.
2–3 years of healthcare administration, insurance verification/authorization, scheduling, or medical billing.

Responsibilities

Verify insurance coverage and eligibility prior to procedures or hospital admissions.
Obtain pre-authorization from insurers for procedures and tests.
Collaborate with physicians and nurses for accurate documentation.
Educate patients about benefits, coverage limits and financial responsibilities.
Process and submit claims accurately and timely.
