Responsibilities

• Verify insurance coverage for services to confirm coverage under the patient’s plan.
• Collect and update patient insurance information, including policy numbers and dates.
• Obtain or clarify authorizations with insurance companies (pre-approvals/pre-certifications).
• Support accurate, timely claim submissions with billing and coding staff.
• Coordinate prior authorizations for procedures, tests, surgeries, and other services.
• Review denial-related documentation and assist with appeals and resubmission.
