Job summary

Merit Health in Flowood, MS seeks a Manager of Information Systems to supervise IT operations across clinical, financial, and administrative functions. You will manage a team of IT professionals, drive system implementations, and ensure data security and regulatory compliance to support high-quality patient care.

Lead risk management, vendor coordination, budgeting, and policy development while partnering with clinical leadership to optimize technology solutions for operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or 4+ years of direct experience in lieu
• Master's degree preferred for advanced specialization
• 2-4 years of leadership experience in a closely related field preferred
• 2-4 years of leadership experience in healthcare IT preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily IT operations for hospital systems and networks
• Lead implementation and optimization of clinical, financial, and admin software
• Coordinate system upgrades and migrations with minimal disruption
• Ensure data security and HIPAA compliance
• Collaborate with leadership and vendors to align IT with organizational goals
• Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and disaster recovery
