Job summary

MU Health Care seeks an experienced HVAC leader focused on reliability, safety, and patient‑centered environments. A hands‑on problem solver who thrives in a fast‑paced setting, you will mentor staff and drive continuous improvement.

You will oversee large construction projects, manage scheduling and inventory, and ensure regulatory compliance while fostering a culture of safety and service across our campus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Four (4) years of experience in all phases of skills trade installation, repair, and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of principles and techniques of the skilled trade and apply tools and equipment to perform duties.
• Assist in interviewing, selecting, and counseling staff in the Engineering Services and/or Planning, Design, and Construction Departments by MU Health Care standards.
• Participate in design and oversight of large construction/renovation projects system-wide involving the assigned trades.
• Monitor operations and establish guidelines and maintenance schedules meeting regulatory requirements.
• Plan, assign, and distribute work to staff; supervise attendance and time off.
• Order parts and equipment; maintain inventory records and requisitions; keep areas clean and maintained.
• Develop and maintain staffing schedules to ensure unit coverage and continuity of care.
• Monitor time and attendance aligning with MU Health Care policies; ensure payroll accuracy.
• May complete department-specific duties as outlined in department documents.
