Job summary

University of Maryland Medical System Corporation is seeking a HR leader to partner with the leadership group, develop and implement HR programs, policies and initiatives to sustain a positive work environment.

You will consult with clients, train leaders on HR objectives, and support organizational business plans. The role may include recruitment tasks at affiliate hospitals and requires 3+ years of healthcare HR experience and a BA/BS in HR or related field.

Qualifications

• Three years of HR experience, preferably in employee and labor relations, with healthcare exposure.
• B.A. or B.S. degree in HR, Organizational Development or related discipline is required. Equivalents may be considered.
• Master’s degree in business, HR or Organizational Design/Development preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes HR plans and strategies to meet business objectives for assigned areas.
• Provides consulting support to foster a performance-based culture and learning environment.
• Acts as first point of contact for leadership and employees on HR policies and practices.
• Coaches leaders on performance management, workforce engagement, and total compensation issues.
• Designs and leads special HR projects like organizational development and change management.
• Supports grievances, investigations, and employment-related program activities as needed.
