Job summary

Sweetwater Care houses a Housekeeping & Laundry Supervisor who will lead the daily housekeeping and laundry operations while performing hands-on duties on the floor. The role ensures a clean, safe, sanitary environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

The position involves scheduling, staffing coverage, inventory control, and adherence to infection prevention procedures under the Administrator’s direction, with collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least one year of housekeeping or laundry experience in a commercial or healthcare setting, with knowledge of housekeeping and laundry procedures.
• Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily operations of housekeeping and laundry while performing assigned duties.
• Create and maintain staff schedules to ensure coverage for both departments.
• Coordinate coverage for call-ins, absences, and scheduling changes; communicate needs to Administrator.
• Assign daily duties and adjust work based on resident needs and priorities.
• Monitor inventory and ordering within purchasing procedures.
• Ensure supplies, chemicals, linens, and equipment are stored and labeled properly.
• Collaborate with nursing, admissions, maintenance and other departments for room readiness and service requests.
