Job summary

Responsibilities include cleaning, sanitizing rooms, maintaining supplies, and organizing laundry services while adhering to infection control and HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in healthcare housekeeping or laundry is an advantage.
• Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and manage time.
• Strong attention to detail to maintain cleanliness and hygiene.
• Good communication and a positive attitude toward residents.
• Physical ability to perform cleaning and laundry tasks including lifting.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning including floor care, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting.
• Clean and sanitize resident rooms and communal spaces per infection control protocols.
• Maintain supplies and safely store cleaning equipment.
• Report maintenance or repairs to the facility team.
• Organize storage for cleaning supplies.
• Sort and launder resident clothing, linens, and facility laundry.
• Dry, fold, and distribute laundry.
• Maintain and report issues with laundry equipment.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of clean laundry to prevent contamination.
• Assist residents with personal laundry needs.
• Follow PPE and safety regulations; provide courteous service.
• Maintain resident confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Participate in team meetings and care planning.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
