Job summary

Skyline-Heights-Nursing-and-Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors. You will clean public areas, resident rooms, and bathrooms, sanitize surfaces, and manage supplies in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Strong attention to detail and reliable teamwork are essential for excellent service. Day-to-day duties include sanitizing rooms, emptying trash, and reporting safety concerns to leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience in healthcare or long-term care setting is a plus.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and understand procedure and instruction manuals and directions.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with concrete variables in semi-standardized situations.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain public and common areas including lobbies and floors.
• Ensure resident rooms and bathrooms are cleaned and sanitized regularly.
• Wipe down handrails and fixtures to remove dust and debris.
• Empty trash and replace liners as needed.
• Sweep and mop floors throughout the facility.
• Follow safety protocols and use safety signage when needed.
• Operate cleaning equipment per manufacturer instructions.
• Keep carts, equipment, and storage areas clean and organized.
• Report resident safety concerns to the Director of Housekeeping or Nursing.
