Effingham Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain the hospital grounds in a clean, safe, attractive manner and to perform related tasks on campus.

The role may include indoor duties during poor weather and requires self-motivation and the ability to work in a semi-autonomous, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have at least a high school diploma or GED and one year of related experience, with proficiency using common groundskeeping tools.

Formación

• Minimum Level of Education: High School diploma or GED preferred; one year or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Formal Training: None required.
• Licensure, Certification, Registration: None required.
• Work Experience: One year or more experience is preferred as a groundskeeper; or related work in the healthcare or related industry.
• Tools and Equipment Used: Calculator, personal computer, telephone, paper shredder, copier, printer, mowers, hedge trimmers, weed eaters, hoes, rakes, shovels, blowers, motor vehicles, and other associated groundskeeping equipment.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain the hospital grounds in a clean, safe, attractive manner in accordance with guidelines and policies.
• Perform duties inside the facility as needed or during inclement weather.
• Maintain grass at no more than three inches; edge curbing and shrubs; irrigate and water flowers.
• Clean entrances, parking lots, exterior windows, and drains; power wash exterior surfaces.
• Operate groundskeeping equipment and report repairs or hazards; monitor inmate labor as needed.
