Job summary

Optum, part of UnitedHealth Group, is seeking a Financial Consultant to join Optum Health. You will work with an elite team of accounting and finance professionals, performing detailed analyses to drive clinic performance and communicating with senior operational and medical leadership.

This office-based role in Golden, CO involves three in-office days per week. Responsibilities include provider compensation calculations, budgeting and forecasting, variance analysis, and ad hoc strategic studies

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive experience in finance and/or accounting.
• 4+ years FP&A experience.
• Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, advanced formulas).
• Strong communication and ability to translate complex concepts.

Responsibilities

• Compute provider compensation and incentives monthly and quarterly.
• Develop reporting results and present to Sr. Management and operations leadership.
• Present and educate physicians on compensation plans and incentives.
• Forecasting and budgeting with Sr. and departmental leaders.
• Develop cost/benefit analyses and staffing needs for key initiatives.
• Participate in company-wide business plans and strategies.
• Perform month-end revenue variance analyses and improve P&L reporting.
• Create and manage ad hoc requests and reporting for Sr. Management.
• Perform detailed acquisition analyses and valuation analyses.
