Job summary

Houston Methodist is a leader in patient care and research, seeking a Financial Analyst to maintain and analyze data for the financial performance of the assigned entity, hospital(s), and contractual relationships. The Analyst compiles and reports information for Financial Accounting, Internal Audit, Revenue Cycle, their department, and entity management.

The role supports monthly dashboards and annual operating budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, healthcare administration, business administration or related field.
• One year experience of financial, budget or cost accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with department, other institutions to resolve problems regarding basic accounting reconciliation items or financial performance.
• Extracts actual and budget financial data or financial data from sources to report and reconcile with leadership.
• Supports the development of annual operating and capital budgets and maintains monthly dashboards of key indicators and external benchmarks.
• Monitors and reports key system operational indicators and alerts leadership to potential performance issues.
