Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a finance professional to oversee financial operations, budgeting, and revenue cycle processes. You will analyze variances, prepare pro forma-like reports, and collaborate with leadership to ensure efficient financial performance.

The role requires at least 5 years of finance experience, a relevant degree, and advanced Excel skills. This on-site position is based in Brookhaven, GA, within a leading pediatric healthcare system.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in business management
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or General Business
• Master’s degree in Business Administration or CPA
• Strong knowledge of general ledger system/Lawson System software
• Good written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Understanding of state and federal regulatory guidelines including coding and billing

Responsibilities

• Ensures timely and accurate revenue cycle processes for areas of responsibility, including accurate charge capture and daily charge reconciliation.
• Participates in and provides input for annual and ongoing review of charge description master and current procedural terminology codes by attending Reimbursement department meetings.
• Conducts monthly expense, revenue, and volume monitoring through a thorough understanding of the general ledger and budgeting systems.
• Identifies and analyzes variances and works with operations leaders to explain, address, and report to Director, Financial Operations.
• Creates and presents pertinent reports that identify productivity, utilization trends, and any other analyses necessary through a thorough understanding of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta financial systems.
• Identifies areas of cost, revenue, or utilization improvements and monitors expected outcomes.
• Mentors team members to encourage personal and professional growth.
• Encourages ongoing skill development by providing opportunities for continued education.
