Job summary

Talantir is seeking a Vice President of Finance / Controller to provide strategic financial leadership across multiple physician-led units. You will partner with physicians and executives to drive profitability, budgeting, and long-range planning in a growing healthcare organization.

The role requires strong collaboration, hands-on oversight, and the ability to present to boards. Travel ~15% regionally, with a focus on growth and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of progressive finance leadership experience, preferably within healthcare.
• Demonstrated experience supporting physician practices, ambulatory healthcare organizations, or multi-site healthcare operations.
• Experience preparing complex financial models, pro formas, capital analyses, and business cases.
• Experience presenting financial information to executive leadership, governing boards, or physician boards.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and operational finance.
• Proven ability to influence executive decision‑making through financial analysis and strategic insight.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial operations across multiple physician-led units.
• Partner with executive leadership and physician stakeholders to provide financial guidance and strategic decision support.
• Develop and present financial reports, business analyses, and recommendations to executive leadership and governing boards.
• Prepare financial models, feasibility studies, and pro formas for new service lines, capital investments, acquisitions, and expansion opportunities.
• Lead the annual budgeting process, financial forecasting, and long-range financial planning.
• Monitor organizational financial performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability, operational efficiency, and resource utilization.
• Analyze key financial and operational metrics to support informed business decisions.
• Ensure strong internal controls, financial compliance, and adherence to organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and support strategic initiatives, process improvements, and cross-functional projects.
• Collaborate with finance, operations, and clinical leadership to align financial strategies with organizational objectives.
• Build trusted relationships with physicians, executives, and operational leaders while serving as a strategic business partner.
• Operate with a high degree of independence, accountability, professionalism, and sound judgment.
