Job summary

Ashtabula Regional Medical Center in Ashtabula, OH is seeking a Director of Finance to lead the organization's financial operations. This role oversees budgeting, financial reporting, cash management, forecasting, reimbursement analysis, contract review, and financial compliance as a key member of the senior leadership team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible accounting and finance experience.
• Minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience managing, developing and supervising staff.
• Healthcare experience and/or CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain timely, accurate annual budgets and financial reports, including appropriate allowances for contractual adjustments and bad debt reserves.
• Analyze financial statements, operational reports, and financial trends to support executive decision making.
• Manage cash flow and cash management strategies to optimize liquidity and investment earnings.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations regarding contractual agreements entered into by the organization.
• Develop, implement and enforce financial policies, procedures and internal controls to improve organizational effectiveness.
• Leads and coordinates internal and external financial audits, ensuring accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
• Continuously evaluate departmental operations and workflows to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Supervise, coach, mentor and evaluate staff, ensuring performance expectations are met and documented.
• Ensures effective communication of financial information throughout the organization.
• Provide strategic financial input and leadership on matters affecting the organization, including: strategic alliances, investment and capital planning, and monitoring progress on strategic objectives.
• Assists the CEO in serving as a liaison between stakeholders, governmental agencies, and contracted customers.
• Participate on committees and special projects as requested
