Job summary

Ashtabula Regional Medical Center is seeking a Director of Finance to lead the organization's financial operations. The role oversees budgeting, financial reporting, cash management, forecasting, reimbursement analysis, contract review, and financial compliance, and sits on the senior leadership team.

You will build and lead the finance team, develop policies and internal controls, coordinate audits, and provide strategic financial input on partnerships, acquisitions, and capital planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
• Ten years of progressively responsible accounting/finance experience.
• Minimum of three years of leadership experience managing staff.
• Healthcare experience and/or CPA preferred.
• Knowledge of medical billing/revenue cycle, ICD/HCPCS, and payor systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain timely annual budgets and financial reports with allowances for contractual adjustments and bad debt reserves.

The Director of Finance is responsible for the overall management and leadership of the organization's financial operations. This role oversees budgeting, financial reporting, cash management, forecasting, reimbursement analysis, contract review, and financial compliance. The Director of Finance serves as a key member of the senior leadership team and provides strategic financial guidance to support organizational goals, growth initiatives, and long-term sustainability.

The position is responsible for developing and leading the finance team, ensuring accountability, staff development, effective communication, and operational excellence. The Director of Finance also supports strategic planning efforts by providing financial analysis and recommendations related to partnerships, acquisitions, mergers, investments, and other key business initiatives.

Qualifications
