Job summary

Ashtabula Regional Medical Center is seeking a Director of Finance to lead the organization's financial operations. The role oversees budgeting, financial reporting, cash management, forecasting, reimbursement analysis, contract review, and financial compliance, and sits on the senior leadership team.

You will build and lead the finance team, develop policies and internal controls, coordinate audits, and provide strategic financial input on partnerships, acquisitions, and capital planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
• Ten years of progressively responsible accounting/finance experience.
• Minimum of three years of leadership experience managing staff.
• Healthcare experience and/or CPA preferred.
• Knowledge of medical billing/revenue cycle, ICD/HCPCS, and payor systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain timely annual budgets and financial reports with allowances for contractual adjustments and bad debt reserves.
• Analyze financial statements and trends to support executive decisions.
• Manage cash flow and liquidity strategies.
• Provide financial analysis on contracts and strategic initiatives.
• Develop, implement, and enforce financial policies, procedures, and controls.
• Lead internal and external audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Improve department efficiency and supervise staff.
• Communicate financial information across the organization.
• Offer strategic input on partnerships, investments, and capital planning; assist CEO in stakeholder liaison.
